The shaft-end grounding device of the EMU adopts an end-grinding type design. The grounding device mainly consists of components such as a protective cover, carbon brush, friction disk, constant-force spring, brush holder, and grounding cable. The friction disk is mounted on the axle end and maintains close contact with the carbon brush to form a conductive circuit, enabling current return. The main body of the grounding device is installed on the axle box end cover. A carbon brush and a constant-force spring are housed in the brush holder hole, with the spring ensuring consistent contact between the carbon brush and the friction disk. The grounding cover is made of insulating material, ensuring electrical insulation between the grounding device and the axle box. A labyrinth seal structure is designed between the grounding cover and the friction disk to prevent carbon dust from entering the axle box. Additionally, sealing elements are incorporated in the grounding device to prevent external water or dust from entering its interior.
